Maria and I went to Goodwill while my mom went to Aldi. She told us she would come get us when she was done unless we came back to the car first. So, we looked around for a little while and didn't find anything in particular that we wanted. We went outside and walked across to Aldi. After we looked around for a couple of minutes, we realized that our car wasn't there anymore! So, we looked and looked back and forth. We went into Aldi and Goodwill both three or four times! Goodwill didn't have a phone so we went to Aldi and used theirs. My mom didn't answer her cell phone so we called home. Tamara told us that mom was on her way back to pick us up. She actually had to go home because my grandma was there and we had swapped cars. She didn't have time to tell us, so she just figured we would look around and have fun. Instead we ended up spending 25 minutes looking for her!

Welp, today was fun. Mary came over and so did Melanie and Michael Sturm. Mary and I "tanned" until the rest of the kids attacked us with water! Then we ate...and ate...and drank lemonade! :) After a while we went on a bike ride to "train for the bike trip to Calvin". Let me tell ya, after two whole miles of biking we are really fit and pumped for a...how many miles to Michagan???...well a long ride! My brothers left for ECHO this morning. So nice of them to be so quiet at SIX in the morning!!!!! Of course, Allen forgot everything and it took them forever to leave. THEN they had to come back and get Allen's hang-up clothes! *sigh* What are we gona do with him??? He's so slow and forgetful! But I love him anyways. :) If you think of it, pray for them while they're on their trip!

You know the spider I was talking about? Well, I didn't actually go see it, but later last night I went upstairs and saw a huge, ugly spider on the table in a jar! I was disgusted and said, "Gross! Is this the spider you guys found??" My mom laughed and answered, "I don't know, is it?" I took a closer look at it and shook the jar. It was a rubber spider! It looked so real though! My mom said she had just been kidding and wanted to see what we would say! It sure freaked the rest of us out! :)

My brothers leave for ECHO tomorrow!!! My mom and I went shopping today to get a bunch of stuff for them and a couple things for me.(Only a little over 2 weeks!!:)) Allen gave us this stuff he was out of cuz he wanted some more. So, we took it and put it in the cart. Well, we ly forgot to take it out and so they rang up an EMPTY bottle and charged us for it! We didn't realize it till we were out on the road so we didn't go back. My mom wasn't too happy, though!

Ugh. I can't believe I'm up so early! Ok, ok, so 9:30 is not THAT early, but considering I didn't go to bed till 12:30.......Zzzzzz.....I'm tired! I was playing Settlers of Catan with Jeremy(my uncle), Allen, and Zachary. It was pretty fun, but it lasted sooo long! And they kept making fun of me! But they told me they were kidding, which I knew they were. Towards the end of the game, we were all really tired and were like rolling the dice vvveeerrrryyyy slllllooooowwwwlllyyyyy. Ok, in attempt to make David happy, I'm gona TRY for some controversy here.
What is expected of women anymore? This day and age, many people think women should have equal rights just like men. Many think women should have all the same job oppertunities. Should women fight in the army, navy, etc? Isn't man the one who should be the protector? If women have equal job oppertunities, that leads to women as pastors, elders, and other major leaders in the church. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 14:34, "Let you women be kept silent in the churches...they are to be submissive as the law also says." I think God made man to be, in a way(don't take this as ist!) over the woman. I believe He created man as the protector of the woman. I don't think there's anything wrong with women working, especially before they are married, but I think there are many jobs that are just made for men.

We just got back from shopping. Before that, we were at Christy Helweg's graduation open house. A LOT of people were there! It was really neat. Out in their back yard, they had this little clothes line thing that had little dance outfits, dresses, etc from when Christy was little and there were pieces of paper that were cut out like clothes. On the paper, they had pictures of Christy. They were really, really cute! It was a really neat idea. There was this one picture of a bunch of southside gi'rls at our anual mother/daughter sleepover a coulple of years ago. It was the night the big tornado hit. So, we had NO electricity. Anyways, we were all dressed up cuz the theme was "Pride and Predjudice".(which of course we didn't get to watch cuz of the lack of power! :))We all looked really funny! :D

The big thing at our school this year was shirt signing. It is really fun and it's better than just like a piece of paper cuz you can WEAR the messages! I think I want to do that for ECHO, too. It would be fun...but I have to find another shirt first! On the front of the one I had for school it says, "Don't cry cuz it's over, smile cuz it happened! 8th grade year 2003-2004 GCA" It really was a good year...despite all the drama!! ;)

YAY!!!!!!!!! SUMMER IS HERE!!!!!! We had tons of fun today for our last day though. The 8th grade(me!) didn't have a final like everyone else so we got to have a party and hang out. We watched "School of Rock", played Psychiatrist, and mostly drank pop. Then we had to clean the school and all said goodbye have a great summer about a million times! :) I can't wait to start doing things over the summer!!!

We had our science final today and Mr. Hawkins was talking about how he used to play basketball when he was younger. On Saturday, we had a youth group pizza party. David Edwards was in charge of games. The first one we played involved three teams, six 2-liters, three plastic tubs, and several straws. It was really . They filled the tubs with coke and we all stood in three lines. The first person ran up to the tub and had 5 seconds to drink as much of it as they could. Then the next person went and did the same...etc. Whichever team got rid or their two 2-liters first won. We lost. out team pretty much gave up. But it tasted sooo !!!(they mixed coke and Dr. Pepper for ours.) After that, we played a game in two teams. There were two cars and each team was given bannas, shaving cream, corn, and toilet paper. We were supossed to "creatively" trash the cars. We had like 15 mins to do it. Well, Allen and Patrick Hart got in a little fight and ended up with shaving cream all over their faces. Me, being the good little sister that I am, tried to wipe some of it off Allen's face. He, of course, thought I was trying to put MORE on him! So, he came after me and got it all over my face. I was totaly covered in it!!! Then, Jill Hanson came over and wiped some more on my cuz she had nice clothes on and couldn't get them dirty! Towards the end, I saw Zachary didn't have anything on him. So, I loveingly put some shaving cream on him. Then he came after me and got it in my mouth. By the time I went to the bathroom to wash it off, I had it in my mouth, ears, eyes, and nose! It was pretty fun though. :)

Good grief, people! You're so impatient! It's only been a DAY since I last updated! I just got home from my friend, Becky's house. I went to her house for a "study party". Hehe, it was just me and her cuz no one else could come. But we had tons of fun. We made Jepordy and Who Wants to be a Millionare games to help us study. And her little sister, Callie fell in love with me! When I had to go she was like,"Nooo!!! Don't leave!" I said,"But, I have to!!" She goes,"Okay, but say hi to me EVERY day, alright?" My science teacher, Mr. Hawkins(Heh, Mary and Ellen met him! lol!) is the oldest teacher at our school so we always tease him and make him feel a lot older than he is. Well, he told us today that he can't hear high pitches. Becky and Stacie asked him if he could hear the fire alarm. He's like, "Of course!" Then he told us that he couldn't hear his cell phone ring or his watch alarm go off. So, Chad set his watch and let it go off. We were all cra'cking up and Mr. H. finally figured it out! He just said, "Chaaad!!" It was pretty funny!

I have cruel, cruel siblings. See, lately at the dinner table, Tamara and I have had a few...well...food fights sort of. So, today Maria, Benjamin, and Allen sort of joined in. It was mostly ice and water, though. But they kept all throwing stuff at me!!! I screamed every time and my mom just like sat there. THEN, they all locked me OUTSIDE and Allen tried to throw water on me, but I jumped out of the way and hit my hand on our railing really, really hard. It has this bruise on it now and hurts realllyyy bad if you touch it. FINALLY my wonderful mother let me back in the house. *sigh* See what I have to go through?? ;)

I know this is gona sound really strange, but if you would have been at my school today, you would understand. I know none of them will prolly ever read this, but I would like to dedicate this post to our Seniors. Today was their last day and I'm really, really gona miss them. I don't know all of them very well, I don't think I could even name them all! But, I only wish I did know them better. They challenged me soo much today. I know this sounds stupid, but after what they said I cried for...well, I long time. But, so did almost EVRYONE in the whole school. You really just had to be there. They challenged me to not dwell on the little things in life, to show unconditional love, to do your best, to be thankful for every moment at our school, to set an example to others, and much, much more. It was just...such a good experiance. Hehe, well now that you all think I'm a freak. ;) It's ok. I love all the Seniors and I hope God really blesses them all as they go on to collage or whatever they are going to do with their life!! I was like, "Wow...and think, next year Allen's gona graduate..." I didn't even want to think about how I would be then!!

Sorry I haven't updated in a couple of days. I didn't have a chance yesterday cuz of our spring concert. It went really well, by the way! I had to play a seventh graders part and I got the music RIGHT before it started! But, it was pretty easy. Yay for the highschool choir who, somehow, pulled their musical together! I say "somehow" cuz I saw them practice yesterday afternoon...and we'll just leave it at that. ;) Also, the grade school musical was totally great! I was soo proud of my wittle bwudder when he sang his solo. (Good thing I was NOT within eye contact range of he would have been cra'cking up!) Tamara messed up a little bit on her lines and started laughing, but it was still really, really good! Congrats to my mommy who pulled it all together!!!

Today during history class, Mr. Gale asked someone to pray. Becky volenteered. So, we all got ready to pray. Suddenly there was this HUUGGEE boom of thunder and it started raining! We were all silent for a second, then burst out laughing. Mr. Gale said, "Wow, Becky! I've heard of powerful prayer, but you didn't even utter a word!" It was pretty cool. Then, a little while later the teacher said, "Now we're getting hail!" Katie, who was sitting by the open window said, "Well, I'm getting wet!!"

Wow, a lot of people that I know ran the mini yesterday! My dad,(well, walked), the Fishers, the Sturms, the Whittens. Oh! Mrs. Whitten and her son, Nicholas both made it in the top 500 and Nicholas was first in his age division.(12 and under, I think.) I would like to maybe do it some year, but I would die!!! It would be a cool acopmplishment, though!

We just watched "Cheaper by the Dozen". I thought it was pretty good! It was a really cute story. Some stuff was kinda....yeah, but overall, I liked it. Benjamin had the funniest laugh!!! Like, any time he thought something was funny he would laugh soo hard and it sounded halarious! :)

Yesterday on the way to the movie, Mary and I were talking about the whole scheme to paint the White House orange. It went something like this:
Mary: I liked David's idea.
Me: Whhhaattt??? No way!!!

Me: I will do that!
Mary: Well, I think Anna or David are our best bet cuz Hannah won't vote for either of us.

There was this couple you wanted a kid but they could never have finally she got pregnant and they were so excited but when the baby was born it was just a head. But they didn't care they were to happy to have a kid. They named him Fred. The dad was soooo proud he took Fred with him wherever he went he just picked him up by the hair and carried. On Fred's 21st birthday his dad took him to the bar. He ordered to beers and helped Fred drink his. The trumpets sounded lighting flashed and poof Fred had half a neck and a arm. Fred said "wow this stuff is great give me another." So he drunk that and the trumpets sounded the lighting flashed and he had the other half of his neck and a arm. He kept drinking till he had a whole body. And then he said "This has been my best birthday ever give me another." The trumpets sounded the lighting flashed and poof Fred was gone. The bartender and Freds Dad stared at each other for a while and finally the Bartender said "Fred should of stopped while he was a head."

This week is teacher appreciation week. So, the PTF(parent/teacher faculty) put together a special meal. Well, they had to all eat it together, so we all got fourth period off! We got an all-school picnic today from 12 to 2:30! It was pretty fun. I got soaked and Allen dropped an ice cube down my shirt while I was sitting on the grass! Then, Maria offered to give me a piggyback on the way back to school. I said ok and then realized...SHE....Was..SOAKED!!!! So, I got all wet in between my legs and you can imagen what it looked like. Everyone was making fun of me!!! :(

At the awards banquet, there were three medals you could get. One: Top Acidemic; two: Most Improved; three: Christian Attitude. See, Zachary is really, really smart. Like STRAIGHT A's. He got SEVEN medals! Six for top acidemic and one for Christian attitude. Maria is pretty smart too. She makes mostly A's, too. She got four or five, top academic and Christian attitude. (All together) Allen is smart...but he got no awards. Oh, and let me mention that Maria and Zachary have the smallest classes in the school! Allen and I have the biggest. So, that leaves me. I got one. Top academic for music. Whohoo. But, I have a bunch of smart people in my class, sooo..yeah. But, when we got home my dad wanted to take a picture of all of us with our medals on. I was like, "I don't wanna stand by them!!" Hehe, I was kidding...sort of. :)

OK, when we got to the Kincheloe's, we played outside with Josh's airsoft gun for a little while. The cruel boy was hitting poor little birdies with it! I tried to stop him, but who listens to me, right? Then, when we got back inside, he was just like, "Ok, guys, I'm just gona...you know, live my life. Watch TV and stuff, OK?" I was like, "feel free." So, after a while we watched TV with him till we had to leave. At first he wanted to watch Spongebob!!! There's no living with this kid!

I didn't get on the computer at all yesterday! *GASP*!!!! But, believe me, I would have if I could have. After school, we had to go over to the Kincheloe's cuz Allen had to help with something for our school "prom"(It's really just a fancy dinner cuz they think it's evil to dance and stuff). So, we were over there till like 5:30 pm or so. Then, when we got home, we had to get ready for the awards banquet for our school. I had FIFTEEN minutes to take a shower, and get totally ready. And I did it, too! My mom was impressed! :) Then, the banquet ran till like 9:30 and it was like ten when we got home so I had to go to bed. I thought it was funny when Anna said: You wimps. Grrrr. Charity? You with us??? Hehe, you can distract the guy on the top of the White House and then Mary will carry the paint and brushes and then I'll carry the gun to defend us. (myself) :) She was telling me how weird it was when I didn't comment or update and stuff. I'll try to make up for it today. (Besides, I have time cuz I have to work on a paper for English on the computer)

We had just sat down to dinner when my mom's cell phone in her room started ringing. I knew I was the closest and I also knew it was probly my dad. I groaned and said, "He'll call home if we don't answer!" But, my mom made me go and get it anyway. It stopped ringing right as I got in there, so I just came back into the kitchen. "Now watch," I said. "Five....four....three...two...one." And I pointed at the phone. It IMEDIENTLY started ringing!!! My mom and I started laughing. She answered the phone and said, "Hello? Charity's physcic!"

Ok, today at school, I was in the s bathroom with a couple other s. One of them went into a stall and two seconds later jumped out saying, "I didn't do it!!!" I was like, "huh??" So I looked in the stall. She had flushed the toliet cuz it wasn't flushed......and the toilet TOTALLY overflowed!!! It sounds disgusting(well, it kinda was) but it was soooo funny!!!!! It started running out the stall and out the door into the hallway! We ran to the office, (I was laughing so hard I could hardly breath) and told someone there who mopped it up. We asked it we could help, but she said to just go to class. I felt kinda bad...but it was soooooo funny!!! :)

OK, my dad preached at church tonight and he was talking about forgiveness. Anyways...he was talking about all the things piled up on his dresser. He said, "Nancy is also collecting a pile in the laundry. Things like missing buttons on shirts...or the jeans that didn't quite make it over the fence when Maria did." OH my goodness! Everyone laughed, but me, Mary, Maria, and Tamara were laughing for EVER about it! It was soooooo funny!!!

Warning!!! Never, I repeat NEVER go to the Ray's house without a bodygaurd!!!!!!
Ok, so I was over at the Ray's house last night while my brothers were out with something for our school. They live really near the church, so after youth group, I went over there and I was going to spend the night, but I ended up having to go home. Anyways...Hannah's home. I don't know WHAT I ever did to deserve this...but they did it. See, we were having this "discussion"(I'm sworn to secrey! :)) and Mrs. Ray said we had to take it down stairs. We were eating some peanut butter and chocolate in the kitchen, so we took it with us. It was Hannah, Mary, Joe, Isaac, and I...and Abby(their dog). Mary, Hannah, and I were all sitting on the couch and then I said something that made Hannah literally kick me off the couch. So, there I was laughing on the floor, with a spoonful of chocolate and peanut butter. Abby came over and started licking it. Then, Hannah got the bright idea to put the chocolate and peanut butter all over my face!!! She held down my hands while her and Mary smeared it on my face! Abby started licking it all off. Let me tell you, it wasn't funny for me, but for some reason I was laughing really, really hard! I screamed for help, and Isaac and Joe just laughed at me!!! I somehow got up and smeared some on Hannah's shirt. Joe told me I looked like some monster and Hannah ran upstairs. Mwuhahaha...I found the chocolate syrup! >;) But, Hannah had locked herself in the bathroom so I couldn't even get any on her. Later on Mary and I got in a little fight with some iceing. So, I ended up going home...rather sticky! Evil, evil people.

Guess what we got to do in history class yesterday! We are learning about the Great Depression and stuff and we got to build our own "Hooverville" out of cardboard boxes and ducktape. Like, what the poor people lived in during the Great Depression. They made houses out of boxes and they were called hoovervilles cuz they blamed it on President Hoover. They were also called shantytowns. We got to take up the whole class period doing it. Then, the guys decided to do "Grafitti" all over the outside of it. We put stuff like "Down with Hoover" and signed our names and stuff. I put 'Charity was here 4/30/04' like five times and people kept crossing it out! hehe.
