Let's face it. There are just some lovely things in life. Long division of polynomials probably is not one of them...though I have to admit I kind of like it. However, there is a whole, huge, heaping list of other lifeful things to choose from. Today I'm going to have to go with basketball. Okay, you may all laugh hysterically at this time. Ahem. Now that we're over that... I LOVE WATCHING BASKETBALL! ESPECIALLY WHEN MY BROTHERS PLAY! PRIMARILY WHEN MY BROTHERS PLAY! MOSTLY ONLY WHEN MY BROTHERS PLAY! I am pretty sure a basketball court brings back more life memories for me than almost anything else (the smell of chlorine falling closely behind). Honestly, such good memories! Well, at least fun memories. Now. Of course, you all are painfully aware of my total lack of any athletic skills whatsoever (which I choose to blame firstly on my father for never putting me in sports, secondly on my mother because she said I could blame her, and thirdly on my own lazy self). However, I so enjoy the opportunity to watch people I know run around and sweat their little heads off. The next best thing, of course, is embarrassing them, myself, and everyone around me by cheering somewhat rediculously (minus the little skirt and pom poms. I'm over that.). So tonight, I had a huge wave of memories sweep over me upon entering the lovely little basketball court for Benji's game. Homeschooling Bulldogs! GCA Cougars! Benji's little Sixers and Celtics! Ah, the joy. I am excited. Tonight, I saw myself in this little nine-year-old girl skipping down the sidelines whilst dribbling. (Um, that'd be her skipping/dribbling. Not me. Just so we're clear.) Tamara and I sat on the floor outside the top of the court, laughing and otherwise reminiscing over the past loveliness of basketball in our lives. Maybe we're Hoosiers. Maybe we're just crazy. Yeah...that's probably it. Subway is fairly worthy of lovified mention, as well. Hehehe, Benji asked for a 7-foot long sub today. Almost as classic as when I went to Subway at Ivy Tech with Flo and she asked for a 3-inch. I am almost regretful to change my ever-loveful song on here. I do love it. But I think its replacement is pretty amazing, itself. A capella Jimmy Eat World. Can it get better? (Hey, all you people who passionately protested against this song, I still LOVE it, and it's been like 2 years since I've put it on here. So there.) And I LOVE going to sleep at night. Though, Odysseys and giggles with my sisters before we're quite ready to reach that point are at least 11 times better. song of the post ~ "For Me This is Heaven" as sung by The Ransom Notes Charity | 10:32 pm Comments-[ comments.] |
