About Me
My life is not my own, for I belong to Christ.
It is because of God's grace and for His glory that I "live and move and have my being."
I am currently back in Indiana, studying English Education at Purdue University, far from the home I've come to know and love in Victoria, Australia
My family means the world to me.
Living in America and loving in Australia, I am blessed indeed.

When it rains, it pours
Please pray for Allen and Brandon, Meg, and Jolene Fisher. As many of you know, they just experienced a serious fire in the home that they (the Fishers') are renting. Most of you know the details, so I won't go into them. Please pray for peace for all of them, as well as provision financially. Allen lost quite a bit himself; though, obviously, it wasn't nearly as significant as the Fishers' loss. Here are some pictures that show some of the damage to the Fishers' home. Read more on their blog.
Not a very cheery start to our new week... but we all know that God is good through it all. I've been praying all day yesterday and today, and I just keep reminding myself that God works all things together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Though we have confidence in that fact, we don't always see the good this side of Eternity. So I'm praying that God will show us some good in this tragedy.
To end this post on a brighter note, here are some quotes that made me laugh (mostly taken out of context...but that's the fun of it! ;-)):
"Pastor's are weirdos." "They don't take baths in Scotland." "I almost cried when she kissed me!" --Zachary Blackwood
"Zachary, you're just like an elephant!" --My loving mother
**Don't forget my post below about our adventures in the mountians! :-)**
