"We love because He first loved us." --1 John 4:19 Sunday night, my dad preached at Avon (Westside...whatever you want to call it) about the grace, peace, and love that a Christian can have in Christ. It was a very good sermon. :-) So guess what I did yesterday? Let me just review my day... I got up around 9:30 and cleaned up the kitchen. I ate a tiny bit of breakfast and went to help wrap presents. I did that until about 1:30 when we had lunch. (I still hadn't gotten dressed or even put in my contacts.) Mrs. Eger was at our house to visit and had mentioned that she had a bunch of presents to wrap. My mom got the brilliant idea that we gi'rls and she would go to Mrs. Eger's apartment and wrap her gifts for her. So, I pulled on some sweat pants and a T-shirt, put in my contacts, and we left. We wrapped the presents pretty quickly, so I decided to call the Helds and see if Kathryn, David, and Anna wanted to go out to eat with us or something. Mr. Held answered and I told him where we were and mentioned we might like to do something with them. He told me that Kathryn was actually gone (to which I was very disappointed), but then told me she was on her way to Youth Group and suggested that we stop by. (What a brilliant man! :-D) So, he gave my mom some directions, we clean Mrs. Eger's apartment, and then we headed out to the car. Here's where the fun started. Maria, my darling, ever so wise sister, went to the car and turned it on. With the keys still in the ignition, she acci'dently pressed "lock" instead of "unlock" and slammed the front door. "Uh-oh..." We went inside and called AAA. They said someone would be there in 20-60 minutes and that they'd try to make it as fast as possible since the car was running. I was about to ki'll Maria, thinking that we wouldn't be able to see people afterall. Thankfully, a guy got there in about 15 minutes and unlocked our car for us. The first thing he said when he got there was, "Okay, who did it?" I was quick to point a finger at my younger sister. So, we unlocked all the doors and headed to McDonalds where my mom and Mrs. Eger wanted to stop and eat. Of course, we had to go inside. It was 7:30 and we were told we could only stay at the YG thing until 8:30. Needless to say, I was getting a little more frustrated. However, we did eventually get to the YG party. Kathryn saw us first and screamed. I guess the other people (who were in a different room) told Flo to go see what happened. So she came in and screamed even louder! Before we got there, I was a little worried about how I looked, but their reaction was worth it all. The party was a lot of fun with a White Elephant gift exchange and a game. The time did seem short, but I enjoyed every minute of it. I might not update again until after WC. We are having company tomorrow night and then Christmas starts for us on Friday. Oh and we might go see "The Chronicles of Narnia" tonight. I am so excited!! :-D And I can hardly wait till WC starts - only a week away! Merry Christmas, everyone! Oh by the way, I'm taking the music off because it is scaring me every time I get on. WMP isn't working for me, otherwise I'd try to put on a different, more quiet song.
