I spent this weekend camping with my mom's side of the family. It sounds weird to say we were camping since we were in my aunts back yard, but if you saw how humongo their yard is, it wouldn't sound so strange. We spent the time doing what Cole's do best - eating, singing, and talking. We also played a few games, justped on their trampoline, and swam inbetween. They not only have an in-ground pool (with a diving board and slide), but they also have a lake/pond/body of water (I don't know which one you call it) in their backyard! I don't think they own all of it...but I know that whoever does own it lets them use it whenever they want - for swimming or fishing or whatever. I actually slept inside, so I'm not sure you could consider that camping. But hey, I had an excuse. I was sick with a fever and a bad cold. I'm still sort of getting over the cold, but the fever is gone, thankfully. It wasn't very fun being sick while around all my cousins and everyone else. I found out, though, that a cheerful heart truely IS good medicine. Once I started laughing and doing things with the rest of the family, I started feeling much, much better. Well, tomorrow is Labor Day and we're going to spend the day doing just that - laboring. Seriously, if any of you have nothing to do and maybe want to come help for a while, call us. We can't have a ton of people, 'cause then we'd never get anything done...but really give us a call if you're interested in doing some odd jobs that need to be done around our house. (I hope I don't get in trouble for putting this on my blog...although, I'm sure most of you already have plans.) Okay, I haven't been at Southside for both morning and evening service in soo long! I'm sure people there think we've already moved! (a bit of sarcasm there...) This morning we went to my extended family's church (all my mom's siblings except for one brother go there along with my grandparent's) for my two cousin's ordination. It was a bit weird 'skipping out' on our church to go to a Weslyan church...just with the totally different worship atmosphere and everything. It was nice to be there for their ordination, though. Half the people in the church were related to me, so that was kind of amusing. ;-) Well, I better end this post before you all get boared to tears with my ramblings. Have a wonderful evening! Quote of the post: "Families are like fudge. Some are sweet, some are rich, and some are just a bit nutty." --Some sign I saw at a fudge shop on ECHO ^-^I'm not sure if those were the exact words, but something close to that... Verse of the post: "His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'
