Heh, sorry about the last post. I wasn't trying to offend anyone. We just thought it was really funny at the time. ;-) But anyway...here I am to upadate! :-) A few people near and dear to me are a bit 'under the weather' (I never got that phrase...) right now, and I was just wondering if you guys could all be praying for them. One person is my mother. She has some kind of cold and fever so she's been in bed most of the day. It's kind of tough for our family because she is the one who kind of runs the household. It kind of makes us realize how much she does around here when she can't do it anymore. Another person is Beth Long. She had an acci'dent with a skateboard last weekend and is on some pain medication. She's normally her hyper, happy self, but these meds kind of knock her out a bit. I know she'd appreciate some prayers for quick recovery as well as some cheering up. She's usually the one who does that for others, so I think a few of us, at least, could return the favor. I think Becca Long is a bit sick, too. And last time I heard, a few of the other Long's weren't feeling so well, either. This is kind of bad news because I believe the Long's are planning on going on vacation this weekend. I would normally update with more, but I kind of need to get off right now. I might add more to this post later. Quote of the post: "God likes colors, doesn't He? What do you think His favorite color is - blue, or green?" --My Mother ^-^ Aren't mothers brilliant? :-) Verse of the post: "He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all." --Isaiah 53:3-6 I'll try to change the song in a bit...
