      My Cool Cousins

Okay, guys, I have to say that I have some of the coolest cousins ever! I'd met them before (long ago), but I didn't really remember them too much. It's crazy 'cause they remembered like everything we did at their house! For example, one of them remembered that when I was 8(ish), I left my teddy bear at their house. He even described what it looked like! I remember nothing of this bear, much less leaving it somewhere! But anyhow, we had a blast at the family reunion! We went swimming several times, and even though I've washed my hair twice since, it STILL smells like cholorine! There was also a hot tub, and we had fun going from the pool to the hot tub and back again. Some of us even attempted doing "cannon balls" into the 1 or 2 foot hot tub.

We also played a lot of basketball. Correction: they played and I attempted to follow along. ;-) There was another family reunion going on at the same hotel, so one night we played a game of basketball with them - our family against theirs. Their family won, but I have to explain that they had this huge black guy (like 6' 5"!!) who, even though he played nicely, had many obvious advantages. I also managed by some miracle to make a three pointer during the game! That was the only time I even had a chance to attempt to shoot it because every other time that I got the ball, a little boy on the other team (I think he was 12) would come up behind me and totally knock it out of my hands. Pathetic, I know. We also played many, many games of free-throw knock-out. During those games, I got to mostly just sit out and watch my indredibly tall and talented cousins play. They even did a few amazing, climbing-up-the-wall dunks. I am proud to mention that Zachary also attempted and succeeded in doing a few. It was pretty fun to watch! Alrighty, I think I'm done ranting and raving about my amazingly great cousins...

Now, this is totally unlike me, but I am going to end this post here, despite it being pretty short. I hope you all had as wonderful a weekend as I did. :-D

      Quote of the post:
"Other things may change us, but we start and end with family"
      --Anthony Brandt

      Verse of the post:
"The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is
my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn
of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the LORD, who is
worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies."
      --Psalms 18:2-3

      Song of the post:
      "Bangs"
      --They Might Be Giants

^-^ If you haven't heard of this band, you have to listen to some of their songs sometime. They're random, nerdy, and hilarious!
