Well, the past few days have been interesting... Laura Soma left this morning. I miss you already, Laura! :'( We had a lot of fun. Despite the fact that the main thing she/we did was CLEAN OUR HOUSE AND YARD! My mom officially LOVES Laura because she's such a good worker. (haha, Laura's gonna shoot me when she reads this! ;-)) We are preparing for Allen and Zachary's open house this Thursday. Or at least that's what my mom says. I know it's just an excuse to do some MAJOR "Spring Cleaning". But hey, I kind of like the concept of a sparkley clean house, and it's "preporation for ECHO!" *said in an excited mom voice* Anyhow...Monday, after we slaved away (Ok, ok mulching and scrubbing walls for a few hours isn't that bad...I just feel like complaining. ;-)), we went to Southeastway park to play kickball. It was the Elder' and Soma's against the Blackwood's. Now, I ask you, is that fair? Yeah, yeah I know you've all figured it out already....we creamed them. It was like 25 to 10. Hehe. I'm just enjoying teasing them about it. Especially since Josh and Laura had never played kickball! They were good, though. We just had Allen and Zachary on our team who can kick the ball far and Maria with her infamous 'bunt'. It was all good fun and after we won, we were kindly rewarded by the Elder's with a mini duster and a hat with an umbrella on it. (Whatever you call those things...there absolutely hilarious!) We cleaned the kitchen and back room yesterday. Then, in the evening, my mom gave us money to go out to eat and see a movie--only 50 cents at Movies 8! We saw "Hitch" with Julia and Bethany Cerbus, and Eleni, Noah, and Stuart Elder. Well, the younger boys saw "Because of Winn Dixie" and the younger gi'rls saw "Ice Princess". We all got a big kick out of "Hitch". Allen thought it was the funniest movie he'd seen in a long time. It was pretty clean, too. Afterwards, we got frosties at Wendy's then went home and played "KEMPS" untill Josh and Shannon picked up the Elder's. Playing against Laura and Eleni, of course Allen and I won...it's a sibling thing. ;-) hehe. Then Laura and I stayed up talking to Allen for...a while...it was great. :-D This brings us to today's crisis. Five minutes after getting up this morning, my mom told me that she was going to take me to my Driver's Ed place and I was to get my Learner's permit. So we gathered up some I.D. and left. My mom had to go to Kroger first and was going to let me drive in the half-empty parking lot. But, my dad called and asked her not to until I officially had my permit. He also asked that she come switch vehicles with him at work. This was good for me because we weren't sure we had the right I.D. for me to get my permit and I thought I'd left my purse in the van last night after the movie. Well, it turned out that it wasn't in there. I figured our that I'd actually left my purse at the movie theater. Soooo....I called and described it to the guy working there and he said they had it and I could pick it up any time. My mom told me to call the Hovee's since they live a WHOLE lot nearer than us and see if they could pick it up. So, Luke offered to go get it. I called the guy back at the theater and told him my friend, Luke Hovee, was going to pick it up since he lived a lot nearer than I did. The guy asked how to spell his name and acted like that would be fine. Then, he suddenly changed his mind. "I don't really know 'you' are 'you'. You see?" I didn't really get it, but I said thanks anyway and hungup. My mom wasn't too happy with this so she called the poor guy back! He explained to her that I had I.D. in there and he didn't want 'just anyone' coming to pick it up. So, ARGH I have no driving experience, no learner's permit and no purse or cell phone right now!! It's kinda frusterating, but I guess I'll live for a few days. And I know it's all in God's plan. It's scary, though because I'm starting Driver's Ed in Memorial Day at 6 A.M.! (Don't ask why my mother signed me up for then!) I'm actually more nervous than excited about driving...I guess that's kind of strange. Ok, this post is getting extremely long...I should go help clean some more. I'm sure no one's actually going to take the time to read all my ramblings. Oh one more thing: I GET TO GO TO SIX FLAGS ON FRIDAY!!! I'm excited about that! :-D :-D Charity | 6:25 am Comments-[ comments.] |
