I was just wondering who all who reads my blog is planning on going to Winter Conference. I am going, Lord willing, and I cannot wait!! It will be my first year (as a lowly freshman!) and I'm sure it will be a blast. And a bunch of my good friends who's birthday's are in December are going to go, which will make it even better! The only thing I was (at one point) disapointed with was the dressing up theme. My brother told me who sorta came up with it and why (Patrick Hart, because it sorta goes along with Pastor Yorks speaking). I was like, "Well, great idea having Patrick on the CYPU team!!" :-P But now I have a pretty good idea for a costume, so I'm happy. Yesterday we had World Views at the Rays. It was so bad because a bunch of us didn't finish it, but Mrs. Ray wasn't mad or anything. I mean, we had three weeks to do in one week! My brothers had to leave early for school so Maria and I stayed at the Ray's afterward. My mom came to pick us up at 4:30 and Mrs. Ray said I could stay if I wanted till my brothers were done with school (Maria had to go to clogging). So my mom said I could. Eight o'clock came around and I finally got a hold of my brother on his cell. He said either him or someone else would pick me up. So then it was nine o'clock and no one had come to pick me up yet! Mrs. Ray offered to let me stay the night, so I called and asked my dad. I thought he said my brothers were coming to pick me up so we waited around till 10:00. Finally Mrs. Ray said it was official: I was staying the night, and told us to go to bed. This morning I did a little school at their house, listened to Mary's piano lesson, went to Wal-Mart with them, then got dropped off at Woman's prayer at the church. This whole time I had to wear the same clothes I wore yesterday. I finally changed when I got home, so I feel much better. :-) I might go to Mary's cross country race thingy this Saturday. The Ray's were talking about it and I said something like, "Oh can I come?" kinda joking, and we kept talking about it and after a long discussion and everyone telling me how boring it would be, Mrs. Ray said that if Mrs. Hart went, I could come, too. Either that or Mary has to...hehe never mind. (She prolly won't even read this!) We had the most interesting discussion at the Ray's house during dinner. Buuut I don't think I should bring it up on here...Mary would kill me. ;-) Alrighty, well I have to prepare to die tomorrow! Agghh I hope all of you who are coming to watch the speeches are prepared for me to totally mess up!! I did my speech for Mrs. Ray yesterday and she kept pointing all these things out. I told her it was kind of late for me to change it, so she just said, "Ok..well you're de'ad meat." Thank you for your comfort and support, Mrs. Ray! (she really does love me deeep down inside!)
