Mommy, keep me safe, Mommy keep me warm, Handle me with all your love, Mommy, keep me from harm. I'm only six weeks old today, This birthday gift to me, A pair of bright blue eyes, That someday you will see.I 've barely got ears, A little puppy nose, and at the end of my feet, Little things called toes. Looking forward to my life, Toys, teddy bears, snails And long fairy tales Where are we going mommy? In a bath, on a bus ride or, perhaps far away Where are we going being pushed at all force? How funny it feels passing through doors, people dressed in green, If they hurt you mommy just scream. What's happening mommy, I'm starting to cry, Mommy come quickly, They’re making me die, Killing me slowly, Pulling me apart, everything inside of me even my heart, Bye mommy, good-bye But how I wanted to see the grass, the trees, hear a sweet song, feel a sweet breeze. Bye mommy good-bye I love you I really do I just wish You could love me too. It just isn't right To take such an life! This poem, by Fred Minneck, expresses the horror and inhumanity of abortion. I intend to show you what life really is, describe to you what happens in an abortion, and convince you to do as much as you can to end this brutal . Even though abortion may seem harmless and the logical thing to do to an unwanted child, it is morally wrong, can be physically harmful, and is simply – the taking of life. So, the first question is what is life? Well, in biology, using Dr. Wile’s book, I learned about the four criteria for life. First of all, in order to be alive, you must contain DNA. And no one is going to argue that an unborn baby does not have DNA. The next criterion is that you must have some kind of metabolism. This is obviously true of unborn babies, as well. The food which the mother eats is converted into energy that allows the baby to grow and develop. Thirdly you must be able to sense and respond to changes in your environment. Babies do this when they do things like kick while in the mother’s womb. The last criterion for life is that all life forms reproduce. The child is obviously of the same species as the parent, so it must and will be able to reproduce. And even as a baby still in the womb, it is reproducing itself by the cells it produces. Sometimes people use the word “fetus” when describing a baby. A lot of pro-life supporters do not like this term because it seems that doctors use it to lessen the fact that it is a human being! Well, did you know that “fetus” is a Latin word which simply means “little one”? In order for you to truly get a picture of the awful thing that happens in an abortion, I am going to describe to you just a couple methods which I found on abortionismurder.org. One method they use is called Dilatation and Extraction or D and X. A tool called forceps is used to pull the baby’s body except for the head out of the birth canal. Surgical scissors are used to make a hole in the baby’s skull. After that, a suction tool is used to literally suck the baby’s brain out. The skull collapses, allowing the head to come out of the birth canal with the rest of the body. Another method is called Dilatation and Evacuation or D and E. The basic idea of this is to cause dilatation in order to pull apart the baby’s body until only the head remains. The skull is then crushed and pulled out, as well. In order to make sure all of the body was removed, the nurse must reassemble the parts of the body. There are other methods used for abortion. These may seem to be two of the most horrible, but really, whatever method they may use; it always results in the of a tiny, helpless human being. Perhaps the saddest thing of all of this is that abortions don’t just happen ever once in a long while. In fact, according to statistics found on abortionfacts.com, one baby dies due to abortion every 22 seconds. 4,000 babies die each day due to abortion, and approximately 1,500,000 babies die each year in the U.S. Since abortion was made legal on January 22, 1973, there have been over 35 million s. What can be done about this? How can you bring an end to this holocaust? Well, Dr. and Mrs. J.C. Willke give these instructions: First of all, you need to Educate. Learn more about abortion and share your knowledge with others. Volunteer with Crisis Pregnancy center, Right to Life, or any other pro-life organizations. Lobby elected officials. Write to “Pro-Choice” or “Planned Parenthood” supporters. Vote - choose Godly leaders who share the same morals and beliefs that you do. And last, but certainly not least, Pray. This may be the most important thing you can do. God is still in control. Cry out to Him for the sin of our nation and the lives of our children. I have covered what life really is, what takes place in an abortion, and what you can do to stop this . I hope that next time you hear a baby cry, notice 22 seconds, a day, or even a year pass by, you will pray for and remember the cries of the unborn children. Charity | 8:46 am Comments-[ comments.] |
