Allen has a very good post on abortion on his blog. I will warn you, it is also very sad. The picture is horrible, but greatly portrays the cruel, heartless way of abortion. It really gets your attention, though. (You're right, Allen.) There's also a really cool song of the day on there that goes really well with the post! Listen to all the words! Life Over the Weekend "What a way to spend my weekend that I've been looking forward to for so long!" That's the thought I had late Friday night (early Saturday morning) as I was up most of the night puking. Sorry, I know it's gross and I was miserable!!! I was also extremely depressed, thinking I would have to miss the long awaited ECHO party! :*( But after much puking, praying, and pleading, my parents finally agreed I was well enough to go. I felt fine, but my parents didn't want me to infect other people. So, guys who were there, if I got you sick, I offer my most sincere appology! I know it stinks to be sick! But I don't think that I was contagious. Anyways, the ECHO party was very fun. We talked, ate, played "Capture the Flag" (the game that never ends...) and also, "Blo.ody " in the dark. It was scary, but fun. ;) At one point someone said, "We were trying to find Charity to scare her." (or something like that...) And Zachary replied, "Yeah, she was probably walking around like, 'What??'. Hearing my name and not the rest of the conversation, I said, "What?" Everyone started laughing. I was pretty lost until Zachary explained the conversation to me on the way home. I refuse to refer to myself as a dumb blo.nde, but I DO have my moments! Wonderful School Algebra - one word: Bllleeeecccchhhh!!!! English - Still lovin' it! Reading - So far, very interesting books! Speech - I officially start on Thursday, but we have an assignment to hand in our first class session. It's not a hard assignment, but I haven't exactly finished it yet. Don't worry, I will soon! I just found out about it on Friday, though. Biology - I start that on Thursday, as well. The book looks interesting! World Views - I'm not sure when we're starting that. I can't wait! I get to take it with a lot fun people! And the one, the only, the wonderful, the charming (etc etc...) Mrs. Ray is teaching it! (Hey, Mare, make sure your mom sees all these wonderful things I'm writing about her!!! ;)) Economics/Government - Mr. Elder said he would teach it if he had 20 students. I think my dad has recruted at least if not more than enough already! We're still pretty fuzzy on those details, though. Verse of the Day: "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." ~Psalm 19:1~ Song of the Day: "A Thousand Miles" ~Vanessa Carlton~ Quote of the Day: "My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me." ~Henry Ford~ Charity | 8:30 am Comments-[ comments.]

Are you a parking ticket? (What?) You got fine written all over you. You make me melt like hot fudge on a sundae. Can I borrow a quarter? ["What for?"] ... I want to call my mom and tell her I just met the of my dreams. Pick up a pack of sugar that actually says, "sugar" on it and say, "You dropped your nametag!". What does it feel like to be the most beautiful in this room? Are your legs tired, because you've been running through my mind all day long. Do you have a Bandaid? Because I just scraped my knee falling for you. There must be something wrong with my eyes, I can't take them off you. Girl, you better have a license, cuz you are driving me crazy! I hope you know CPR, because you take my breath away. I must be in heaven because I'm standing next to you! If I could rearrange the alphabet, I'd put U and I together. You must be from out of space cause I can see the stars in your eyes. If you were a booger I'd pick you first. Can I have directions? ["To where?"] To your heart. Baby did you fart, 'cause you blow me away! Hi, I'm Mr. Right. Someone said you were looking for me. Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again? When I saw you from across the room, I passed out cold and hit my head onthe floor...so I'm going to need your name and number for insurance reasons. You know what? Your eyes are the same color as my Porsche. Do you have a map? Because I just keep getting lost in your eyes!I s there an airport nearby or is that my heart taking off? Do you have any raisins? No? How about a date? Youth Groups Hillary Gamble gave me this idea. Should churches have youth groups? We have one, and I think it's really fun and cool, but for some reason, 2nd RP doesn't have one. Something about it "taking away from family time". I think the kids there disagree! Hillary says its a "Nice good healthy environment to meet your future husband!" I thought that was hilarious. :) She wasn't being serious, but it actually could be one of the benifits! Not that I'm saying any of us (as in young teens) should be focusing our lives right now on finding a husband/wife. But, you can make a lot of friendships and it also gives you an oppertunity to hang out with people from your church who you don't always hang out with! I know even as Christians, we have our little "clicks" and don't always include everyone. I'm sure a lot of times that is no one's intention, but it just happens. Some people prolly would call my friends and I a "click". It's sad because we aren't intentionally excluding people, but maybe we're not hanging out with some people who would like to hang out with us. I'm kind of getting on a different subject here...but my point is, not only are youth groups fun, entertaining, and Christ-centered, they give you an oppertunity to expand your friendships. Well that's my "two cents" on church youth groups. Any other ideas? ECHO Party Tomorrow is an ECHO party at the Pulliam's for both teams one and two. Considering Allen is my ride, and knowing him very well, we will probably be late rather than early, like I asked. Oh well, I know he wants to be there, too, so that's a motivation for him! Plus I will be yelling at him to get out the door the whole time. It will be ineteresting having people from both teams together, but I'm sure we will have a lot of fun, too. I guess we will all find out soon enough! I can't wait! :) Verse of the Day: "Do not be decived. Bad company corrupts good morals." ~1 Corinthians 15: 33~ Song of the Day: "Hard Candy" ~Counting Crows~ Quote of the Day: When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us. ~Alexander Graham Bell~ Charity | 8:26 am Comments-[ comments.]

Hoh boy, I am now in highschool! Exciting, huh? Not really, but that's ok. :) I got done with school an hour ago. Although that's only because I only had three subjects to do (Algebra, Writing, and Reading. The basic stuff. ;)) I'm sure as the year goes on, Algebra will get harder. I'm only on lesson two, but it's things like "Adding and Subtracting Fractions" and definitions and things. Also, when I start Speech and Biology, I will have more things to work on. Australia My parents are thinking and praying about going to Australia with Josh McEwen in November. For those of you who don't know, my dad has wanted to go to Aussie pretty much all his life. Every time he hears about work (as far as the RP churches) there and messages about being called to serve (such as Pastor Long's message at Calvin), it just makes his longing to go there stronger. My mom and dad were wanting to maybe go this August, but they met with the session and they advised them to wait till this guy (I don't know his name) is going. If they went in November, they would only be there while that guy was for a few days, I think. But since that's when Josh is going, they figure it would be a good time to go, as well. I mean, who wants to fly 20+ hours on a plane unless you know someone else who's going? It would just make it more enjoyable for all of them. Sarah can't go with Josh because she is pregnant and it is too close to the time when you're not supossed to travel when you're pregnant. (Did that make sense? :)) If we moved there, yes, it would be kind of cool in a way, but I would be extremely sad. I love where we live right now! I love my friends and especially my church right here in Indy! But, I know that if God is calling us to serve in Australia, we, as a family, have to go. I kind of felt like that was what God was trying to tell me during Pastor Long's sermon at Calvin. I got all teary eyed just thinking about it. I knew that was what my parents were thinking about the whole time, and I, also, began to be a little more open and willing to the idea. A year ago, or even a few months ago, whenever my parents would mention it, I would practically tell them I was refusing to go. But now I think God has used several things to open my heart a little more to the possibility. It would be extremely sad, but I know God would provide and I have no doubt that it would be worth it. I'm not sure why I felt like sharing all that today, but I did. :) Verse of the Day: "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "Plans of good and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." ~Jeremiah 29:11~ Song of the Day: "I'm Already There" ~Lonestar~ (sorry to all you country-hat.ers! ;)) Quote of the Day: "Don't worry about th world coming to an end today. It is already tomorrow in Australia." ~Charles Schulz~ Charity | 3:19 am Comments-[ comments.]

Hey peoples, we have a new blogger amoung us. Go to Matt's blog. He didn't have any comments cuz no one knew about his blog. So if you feel like it, be nice and go visit it. :) School I was supossed to start school today. But, since Allen and Zachary don't start till Wednesday, My mom thought we should do the same! It's kind of irritating, cuz everyone already started and I'm getting pretty bored. But, oh well. I will live. Although, I think I'm going to at least start Algebra today because I wanted to take it with Mary and Mrs. Ray (well, mostly just with Mary ;)) and she started last week. Soo...I figure I might as well start the first easy lessons and just get on with it! I thought Northside classes started this Thursday, but apparently they don't start till September. That's a bummer, too. *sigh* What am I going to do with my life for three more days? Job No not job, JOb, like in the Bible. :) Last night I was doing my quiet time, and I started reading in Job. It's an awesome book, if none of you have read it. I'm sure most of you have and you pretty much know the story. If you don't, go read it. ;) Anyways, I just thought it was really neat to think about. Here Job is with a wonderful life, blessed by God. Then one day, for reasons he doesn't know, almost all of it gets taken away. His flocks, his servants, even his children! I mean, I have so many wonderful things in my life - family, friends, church, home etc. And if I had even one, much less all of these things taken away, I would have a hard time even accepting it! And Job just says, "Naked I came from my mothers womb, and I shall return. The Lord has given, and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord." (Job 1:21) That's just amazing to me! It makes me think how much I need to strive to not care so much about earthly things, even people, that I would not totally trust in God and remember Who has given me all these things. Verse of the Day: "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. It's like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch. Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back--whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: Watch!" ~Matthew 13:32-37~ Song of the Day "Dare you to Move" ~Switchfoot~ Quote of the Day: "If the person you are talking to doesn't appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be, he has a small piece of fluff in his ear." ~Winnie the Pooh~ Charity | 12:55 am Comments-[ comments.]

Good Quotes Bike Trip The bike trip was so much fun! I really enjoyed it a lot! There were only ten people - Patrick, Nathan, and Joel Hart, Mary Ray, Grace and Sarah Hanson, Jon Sturm, Jeremy Blackwood, Julia Cerbus, and Maria and I. But I liked it because we only had two groups - the s and the guys (at least on the way there).Wait, that's eleven. Oh yeah, Nathan joined us at Dairy Queen and rode back with us. He was at the doctor during the way there to see if he could ride. (I won't explain it, just check his blog.) It was only about 50 miles in all, and most of us were part of the bike trip to Calvin. So, we only stopped once to look at the map (at least we s did), when we got to DQ, of course, and once on the way back to refill our water bottles. At one point, Maria rode off the road, into a ditch! A little while later, someone yelled as we passed by. I turned in that direction, and when I turned back I saw that I had turned off the road, almost into a cornfield! Then, after that, Julia did the same thing! Also, when we were in Fairland, prolly like 1/16 of a mile from the Hanson's house, Nathan, Mary, Jon, and I got lost! Fortunately, Mr. Hanson drove past to find us in his truck and we made it home - the last people. :) But the whole thing was a blast and I really hope we have another one before next year! Verse of the Day: "By this all will know that you are my disciples if you for one another." ~John 18:35~ Song of the Day: ~Psalm 3~ Quote of the Day: "Oh I love hugging. That's always a nice topic to start on! It is soo dreary and rainy out right now. :*( My mom is singing at the state fair and we kids are all allooonnneee! Scary stuff! :-O Life Not much is happening in my boring life right now. I am having Mary Hovee over tonight to spend the night and then tomorrow I am going on a 50 mile bike trip with Mr. Hanson. Hmm...maybe it will rain so we can't go! Just kidding. Although I'm not totally psyched about the trip. Ever since the bike trip to Calvin, I have dreded riding my bike again. Now, don't get me wrong, I loved the bike trip overall, and it was a great experience and accomplishment. But, I don't think my legs or my butt will ever forgive me. :-( Famous Last Words Noo these windows are ok to lean on. Don’t worry it has airbags. Hey what’s that buzzing noise? Don’t worry its not that deep. One time at band camp. No, he doesn’t bite? Hey look a light at the end of the tunnel. I can pass this guy. My brakes are fine. Nice doggy. Allen, Zachary, Maria, and I went to the state fair yesterday with Mary and Luke Hovee, Mary and Joe Ray, and Grace Hanson. It was soo much fun!!! :) We got the braclets for $16 that let you go on all the rides you want from noon till 8:00 p.m. We went on tons of rides for about five hours (from like 3-8) and had so much fun! The first ride we went on was this big circle thing called the fire ball that you went upsidown on. It was pretty scary. I closed my eyes almost the whole time! ;-) We went on that one again later, too. There was this other ride also called the fire ball that I loved! It was my favorite and I went on it three times! The last time we went on it was the very end. It was our very last ride and only Mary Hovee, Mary Ray, Allen, Grace, and I went on it. At the end, Mary Ray almost puked and everyone else was looking pretty miserable. I had fun, though! And they all blame me! Hehe. Oh well. We also went on the carousel(sp?) and the faris wheel. Oh and there was this one calles the Star 2000 or something. It was kind of cool. It was all enclosed and you went round and round super fast so that you stuck to the wall! When we went on the for the 2nd time, everyone felt horrible after it. I guess that was a not-so-bright decission. But everyone still had a blast! We went on tons of other fun and scary rides. We went on this water slide they had about five times. It wasn't scary at all, but it really cooled you off. There was this sign that said, "Have fun on the water ride, and remember: you will get wet!" By the end of the day, my feet were so wrinkled and wet that they hurt! But the whole day was definitely worth it. There were also these little kid playhouse things that we went on. It was fun cuz we were just like, "Oh no! We're going to die! This is so scary!" on all the little kid rides. We figured we might as well use all of our $16! Oh and there was this booth called "Fool the Guesser". The person could guess your age (within two years), your weight (within 3 pounds), or your birth month (within 3 months). Joe did it and with his beard, the guy guessed 19! Allen did the weight thing and they guessed 135 pounds! So Joe got this cool Spiderman 2 picture, and Allen got this blow up spiderman thing. Well, this is already really long, and if I tried to tell you all the things we did it would last way to long. :-) Sit-ups If any of you did not read on Anna's blog, she did 1000 sit-ups yesterday!!!!! No, she's not paying me to do this, I just feel like a whimp at my high total of 125. I know, I know it's not impressive at ALL, but hey, I've only been doing it three days and I'm still building up! ;-) I could do more, I just don't want to do a ton and then be really sore. I want to gradually get higher! So you're not allowed to make fun of me yet! :-D The Olympics I don't watch all of the Olympics, but I enjoy a lot of it. Last night and the night before I watched the gymnastics. It was really cool. Last night, there was this guy from the U.S (I forget his name) and everyone was saying he was going to win the gold. But he messed up really, really badly. After that they said if he did really well on his next one he could get the bronze. Well, he ended up doing incredibly well and won the gold! It was soo cool! :) Verse of the Day:
~Philippians 4:8~ Song of the Day: "We are the Champions"(for those of you who went on the bike trip to Calvin!) Quote of the Day: "If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be one hundred minus one so I never have to live without you." ~Winnie the Pooh~ For some odd reason, every time I press enter on the keyboard, it makes it two spaces down. At least it's not as bad as the Pulliam's was a while ago! ;-) Charity | 4:46 am Comments-[ comments.]

*sniff* I only have one more week of summer left! But that's a lot more than most people have. Several people started last week and quite a few are starting today. And besides, I am really excited about starting school! I slept in till almost ten this morning! I it when I do that! I feel like I've wasted my whole day. After I got up I ate breakfast, took a shower, and cleaned the windows. That's pretty much as far as my productiveness goes. But I do need to clean up my room really badly. Seeing as I have all this free time before school starts, I might as well take advantage of it. :-) The State Fair Is anyone planning on going to the State Fair this week? I was invited to go tomorrow with a bunch of people from Northside classes, but I'm not sure I will be able to make it. I would love to, though. There are a few problems. Allen isn't sure he can go (a.k.a. I prolly won't have a ride) and I am practically broke. I have about $2.18. :-D Verse of the Day: "Rejoice in the Lord always, again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men, the Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will gaurd your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." ~Philippians 4:4-7~ Song of the Day: "The Reason" ~Hoobastank~ Quote of the Day: "I wish I could be a little forever cuz skinned knees heal faster than a broken heart." Hey, I've been thinking...(and the people gasp!) Blogs belong to one person, right? And that person had the choice to get the blog, right? And that person should also to decide what he or she does to the blog, correct so far? Well then, shouldn't that owner of the blog get to decide when he updates and what he updates about? Maybe this is dumb, but maybe, just maybe, we should all stop commenting things like "Update!" and "You need to add such-and-such to your blog!". I mean, the person is most certianly not forcing you to read his blog, so if you don't like what he is writing about or if he hasn't written anything, that should be okay. I think we all (myself definitely included) waste WAY too much time on pointless things we read. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my own as well as other people's blogs, but I will admit that it takes up a lot of my time. You know what, I think I am (as my dad would say) chasing way too many other rabits with this one point I was trying to make, so I'll stop at this...:-) Church Today I absolutely love my church! Today Jenny Hanchette(sp?), Heather Sheldrake, and Sam Ray all gave their testimonies. They were all fantastic! I really enjoyed hearing them a lot. I really liked Pastor Keddie's sermon, too. Also, in choir today, Emily Sturm and I sang a duet on two of the verses of Psalm 71A. I was kind of nervous, but at least Emily sounded beautiful...I'm not sure I can say the same for myself! If I had one wish, it would be for me, my friends, and my family to all stay right here, in Indy, for the rest of our lives...ok ok, at least until collage, then. ;-) Changes I'm sure you have seen some of them, but if you haven't noticed, I have made several changes to my blog. Tell me if you have any other ideas...that doesn't mean I'll listen to them, but I'm up for suggestions! Hehe. :-D Also, if no one minds, I am going to be a little copycat and add "verse of the day", "song of the day", and "quote of the day". I just want to try it. Sorry if this offends anyone who had all those before! :-) Verse of the Day: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths." ~Proverbs 3:5-6~ Song of the Day: Psalm 71A Quote of the Day: "Attitudes are contagious. Yes it's me!!! Up and kickin'! Wow...it has been pretty busy lately! Lots of running around, last minute sleepovers, (that's what summer's for, right?! :)) and preparing for the long dreaded school year. But I actually don't mind. I can't wait till classes at Northside start! I have been waiting for quite a while to attend one of those! :D The Long/Nelson Wedding I just got back from Ken Nelson and Christy Long-now-Nelson's wedding. Well, I guess we got back a while ago, actually. Anyways, it was a great time of the three F's. (Fun, Food, and Fellowship) Luke Long caught the garder and Rebekah Nelson caught the bouquet. I was right by her, but I didn't try to catch it. :) Everything Else Really Quick Ugh I have to get ready for bed. I still have lots more to share, so I will try to update tomorrow! That is what I have decided. Last night I was reading in bed. I finished my book and decided to stretch. My arm touched my reading lamp on my bed and it got burned very badly. My mom freaked out when I showed her my arm this morning. It is very gross looking. But it really doesn't hurt at all. Back to School! Don't you those dumb advertisements for "Back to School" sales??? I DO!!! But I am actually excited about going back to school! Wanna know why? Well, some of you already know. I am probably going to get to homeschool this year AND... do classes at 2nd RP! I am soooooooooo excited! It's not 100% sure...my parents said they're about 90% sure, actually. But I figure it would be ok to tell people now. Hehe, I already told a bunch of my friends, though. Hey, I was too excited to NOT tell people! :) Calvin! You all should have been there! It was great! Ted Donelly was our speaker. The theme was "Our Calling in Christ". It was all very, very good. Pastor Long preached one night about "Called to Serve With Confidence". It was...well it was great. It's kind of hard to describe unless you were there. But I hope you all come in four years! Oh and don't forget there's always Covfamikoi next year! At Calvin there was a Genesis Quiz Bowl. There were 15 teams in all including 3 teams from Southside -The other 23, Adam's Rib, and The Five Five Fat Cows. The Other 23, sadly, lost after one round. Our team - Adam's Rib - made it to the final four and lost against the team that our Five Fine Fat Cows won to. The guys came home with a trophy, and we came home with more knowledge than we had before we began. A lot of the questions weren't very good at all and the lady who judged was way too nice. But I think we all had a good time and learned a lot. Another highlight was that Josh Hart - from Southside, too - won the memory verse thing in the juniors class! All in all, Southside was very well represented there. I think there were about 90 or our members. We played "I've Never", "Psychiatrist", and "Mafia" WAY too much, but still had fun every time we did. Also, we spent many nights staying up late making prank calls. (hehe) Then had to get up early to eat breakfast and go to classes and everything. But even though I was totally exhausted when I got back, I am glad I went. Oh yeah! The Bike trip! I think we rode 290-300 miles in all! It was pretty hard, and I'm not sure I would want to do it again. But, I am glad I made it without giving up. There were approximately 1,203,486 hills, 4,208 gallons of water used, 178 degree(averaged) days, and 236 mile an hour winds. You all should have come, it was great! ;) Charity | 4:10 am Comments-[ comments.] |
