I love the John Denver song, but I just had to put this song on here, too. I was writing letters to some friends today and thinking about leaving and such. I almost let myself cry. But then my mom called me to help, so I didn't even have time. I think that's why I haven't broken down about the whole thing. I'm not letting it hit me fully. But when Sunday night rolls around, I'm going to just have to let it all out. So watch out everyone. :-P It's a good thing my dad is acting excited about this whole thing. Otherwise, we'd all be in trouble. I still can't believe all the stuff we have to do before Tuesday. We're actually leaving our home on Monday, so that will be the day we're really freaking out and trying to finish everything! Yet... God is good. "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." --Philippians 4:6-7 Song of the post ~ "Graduation Song" by Vitamin C Charity | 9:59 am Comments-[ comments.]

Beth Long is here right now and we just did a GREAT job of packing up almost everything in my room. It was kind of sad...but it was nice to have one of my best friends along to help me. She is a way better packer than me, too, because we fit WAY more in 2 suitcases than I did during the practice packing session. My mom is depressed because the Fishers came over yesterday and dropped off all the stuff they're shipping with us and they are TOTALLY packed up and have been for a long time. They asked me if we were all ready and packed. I looked around me, and thought, "Um... does it LOOK like we're packed!?" But we gotta get it all done this week. I'm getting nervous. I had lunch with Grace yesterday and it was such a great time. We went to the Cow Palace in Shelbyville and stuffed ourselves and talked and laughed. I'm hoping to have lunch with Cathy and Cindy on Thursday. Then on Saturday, after the wedding, Beth, Maria, and I are going to have a party to celebrate our 16th birthdays. (Brilliant, aren't we? :-D) Well back to packing with Bethy at my side. I hope you all are coming to our going away party on the 22nd! Church starts at 5:45.... so BE THERE!!! Har har. It was funny for a minute. :-P We had a lovely time in Kansas City. The Mann's are just amazing, I tell you. We had great fun singing, playing insturments, watching movies, playing football, and making the best movie ever. We were in the woods one day and got the brilliant idea to make a movie. It is about 9 minutes long and is hysterical with the added sound affects, music, and "subtitles" (we didn't talk loud enough for the tiny mic). I wish I had a link for it on here, but Zachary says it would take too long for people to load. So, if you ever have the pleasure of catching him while he has his laptop handy, make sure and ask him if you can see our wonderful film. Do try to go to his site, though, and check out the pictures and "Will's Mad Skilz" video. We have two or three people who are supposed to look at our house this week. Please pray with us that one of these people might be the ones to buy it. And pray that we all would have grace in these next two weeks before we leave. There's lots to do and little time to do it. Either today or early tomorrow morning, my family and I are driving to Kansas City. My cousin, Jason, (some of you heard about him) just died last night. In a way, it's a praise because he isn't suffering any more. My mom said, "Just think, he's in Heaven and doesn't have his disease anymore. It'll be neat to see him someday." Zachary drove with my grandpa there yesterday and they saw Jason just a few minutes before he passed away. We will probably stay until Thursday or Friday. Along with visiting my aunt and uncle, we'll be seeing the Mann's again. They stayed with us a couple weeks ago when they were on their way to Pennsylvania for Christmas. My dad went to siminary with Mr. Mann, so we've all known each other pretty much our whole lives. We always have a great time together. They're sort of like cousins to us. Last night we went to a hotel downtown where the Held's and Saunders' were staying. It was a ton of fun swimming, talking, eating, playing games and attempting to sing together. (haha)Though, we did get in trouble once with the front desk guy... but it was totally Allen's fault. :-P We agreed that the guy was probably more scared of us then we were of him. ;-) I love you guys and I'm going to miss you so much when we move. But you all will be my pen pals, right? I am going to be expecting lots of snail mail! Thanks again Mr. Held especially for inviting us to come see you! :-) (There's two sentences about you! Sort of. Hehe.) I've been kind of sick ever since Winter Conference and my dad took me to the doctor today because I had a little bit of a fever. It turns out I just have some kind of virus, but I need to be careful not to 'breath' on people to much. Sorry Held's and Saunders' if I got you all sick! We had our first "practice packing session" (my name for it) yesterday. It wasn't that bad. But considering we only have three short weeks until we leave, I'm getting kind of scared. Even so, I'm sitting here drinking my cappacino and smiling (practicing applying the "Joy in the Lord" talks!), so life is good. :-) You guys probably won't hear from me for a few days, so try not to miss me too much. I might try to put some more WC pictures on here. Oh and J.J., I STILL don't see your comment!!!!! I guess that means you better comment again. Hehe, hope you all have a fun time going back to school! I almost wish we could just get back to regular school instead of doing all the things around here that we have to. But somehow, I'm sure I'll make it. Pray for me! Ta-ta for now. Song of the post ~ "Fix You" by Coldplay --Yes, more Coldplay. ;-) Charity | 3:42 am Comments-[ comments.]

Winter Conference was a blast. If you weren't there and you want to hear more, I'd be glad to talk about it. I've been telling my family about it all day. I've also been cleaning our lovely house all day. We're still not completely done. To brighten my day, as I've been cleaning, I've picked up some change. I've come to the grand total of five shiny little pennies. And they were all in different places. Why this makes me smile, I'll never know. I hope everyone is having a good New Year's Eve. I almost can't believe it's going to be 2006. I remember in 1999 thinking I couldn't wait till 2000 'cause I'd turn ten (oh so old! :-P) and all these exciting things were supposed to happen, such as all the computers in the world blowing up. Ya know, stuff like that. It was pretty disappointing when the clock turned to midnight and nothing happened. (slight sarcasm) I got a ton of sleep last night, but I'm still pretty tired. I didn't sleep well at all at WC. They definitely should have made 'no hair dryers until 7:00 (at least!)' rule. Also, from rooming with Beth, Amy, and Abby, I learned three significant things: 1. Abby talks in her sleep. 2. Amy has a very low tolerance of whispering when she's trying to sleep. 3. Beth can't whisper. Period. Don't worry, I learned some other pretty great things, as well, but you're gonna have to ask me about everything else. Most of you were there (and I'm lazy), so I don't want to type it out. I think I'm going to have a party with Maria tonight. Maybe we'll do something exciting like take a watch, climb out the window and sit on the roof, and watch the digits turn to 12:00. Maybe to make it an even better party, we'll bring out my bag of peanut M&M's that my dear friend Beth got me an munch on 'em while we're waiting and freezing. Should be great. Now I just have to mention this fabulous plan to Maria. Goodnight, all. See you next year! Song of the post ~ "Yellow" by Coldplay *I love Coldplay. I have like 4 of their songs that I want to put on here. Charity | 10:28 am Comments-[ comments.] |
