I echo her - thanks so much. Allen is home right now. As in, here in Indy. He was released from the hospital today (that was rather a surprise), and both my parent's and the Saunder's thought he would get more rest here than at their house. He is either going back tomorrow night or Saturday morning with the rest of us. Oh yeah, and he has ulceral colitus (I am sure that is not even remotely close to the correct spelling). It can be treated with medications. He got quite a few visitors along with gifts and cards. He's pretty tired, but he should be almost back to normal (is it possible to use that word when discribing Allen?? ;-)) by Monday. The doctor didn't put any restrictions on his activity or his diet. In other words, he should be just fine. :-) Thanks again for the prayers. Charity | 8:02 am Comments-[ comments.]

Please pray for Allen. He is in the hospital right now with severe stomach pain. The doctors do not know what it is yet. My dad is with him in Lafayette and my mom will probably go up later tonight or early tomorrow morning. I'll try to give an update when we know more... Charity | 7:21 am Comments-[ comments.]

Dad: Charity, the paint is dripping! Me: Oh! *puts paint roller over grate (with holes in it)* (Dad, Maria, and Zachary start laughing) The alarm clock is on one side of the lamp... Maria: Charity, put the clock over the lamp. Me: Why? Maria: Just do it. Me: Ok... *puts clock on top of lamp* (Maria starts laughing hysterically) Me: What!? I thought it would make it dimmer or something! (Maria laughs harder) We are talking about the Lafayette hayride, which we found out isn't a hayride... Me: Oh great! They'll probably play 'get the apples with your teeth' or something! Maria: Uh, Charity...it's called "Bobbing for Apples"!! (We both start laughing so hard, we start crying) During an experiment in Biology class... Beth: Ethan, I like your . Ethan: Thanks; it's called a puffball. Beth: Ohh...that's what puffballs are? I thought they were something else... *tries to hide the bag of cotton balls she brought* Mrs. Falk (teacher): I hope you're kidding, Beth... If you don't find these at all funny, I'll just say "you kinda had to be there". ;-) Verse of the post: "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or ness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. --Romans 8:35-39 Song of the post: "We Are the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" --Relient K Charity | 6:00 am Comments-[ comments.]
1. Being reminded of and Claiming God's Promises 2. Being teased by my the men in my life (namely my brothers and dad :-P) 3. Having a meaningful conversation with a friend (and a few silly ones here and there) 4. Playing the piano just because I want to (not because I have to) 5. Studing God's Word (especially with more mature believers) 6. Eating good food (I'm not picky) 7. Singing 8. Shopping with my mom 9. Writing 10. Driving I know this is basically what I put on that last quiz thing, but Ana Liza 'tagged me'. It was kind of fun doing it again anyway. :-) Charity | 5:12 am Comments-[ comments.]

I'm finally updating. A real post, too! That is, if I can think of anything to write about... I used to have this urge to blog, and it's kind of faded. Maybe I should just be like Allen and post one really long, interesting post once a month. We shall see... Well I'll just write about whatever comes to my mind. The first thing being our worldview class. We're currently reading Homer's "Odyssey", the book of Revelation, and chuging away in our Greek books. I really enjoy the class. Mrs. Ray is a good teacher, and the smart people in our class make it interesting. *cough* Joel *cough cough* Joe *cough* It takes a lot of time and energy to complete the assignments, but I feel like I am learning a lot. Mrs. Ray thinks I'm su'cking up when I say that the weekly quizzes are good because they are the only way we will learn! Oh and singing the Greek alphabet has become one of my new-found talents. :-) I played the piano for an hour today. My mom is always telling me I need to practice more, so I think she was happy. I really want to memorize more songs so I can play them when I go places without my music. Like at the Porter's for Fall Ministry, a bunch of us were playing their many insturments, but pretty much the only pieces I have memorized are "Fur Elise", "Spinning Song", and "Chariots of Fire". There are some other little songs I know, but that's about it. But yeah, now for another totally random subject... Fall Ministry was pretty fun. Saturday night at the Porter's was especially fun. We had a memory tourney and I beat the memory QUEEN (aka Beth) in one game!! But, of course, Luke beat me 14 to 13 in the final thing. After the guys went back to where they were staying, we gi'rls (Libby, Flo, Beth, Cathy, and myself) watched "The Lizzy McGuire Movie", made fun of it, learned to stand on our heads (sorta), "exercized", and were generally slap-happy. It was great. Well, I really need to go do some more school. Hope you enjoyed my real live update! ;-) Quote of the post: "Brillance is often not just knowing things, but knowing where to find the things you 'sort of' remember." --Mrs. Ray (She's just the star of the post today! ;-)) Verse of the post: "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." --James 1:2-8 Song of the post: "Perfect Day" --American Hi-Fi Charity | 7:27 am Comments-[ comments.]

My family could use some prayers. We are trying to get everything done on our house by Monday afternoon. My siblings and I will be gone the entire weekend. Also, Maria and I are having a hard time trying to complete all our school. I have a headache and bunches of other things to do right now, so this is all I'm going to write. My blog is definitely 'on hold' for a while. It's amazing how my priorities have changed since last school year. Thanks to everyone who's already praying. :-) Charity | 7:06 am Comments-[ comments.]

That's about how I feel right now. I've been doing school all day, while listening to all my Switchfoot CDs. I also cleaned my room, which took a while. I'm not looking my best in "PJ's" (sweat pants and a T-shirt) glasses, and dirty hair and have no great desire to change that right now. Actually, I will probably take a shower and get dressed after I finish this because I might get to go see "Batman Begins" (FINALLY) tonight! Anna and I had a great time this weekend. We talked, laughed, tore up our garden, listened to Odysseys, ATE, talked and laughed some more, played Speed, ran out to greet the mailman (only to find we were too late), listened to more Odysseys, and painted our bathroom. It's funny how you don't realize exactly how much you touch walls, until they're covered in wet paint. Needless to say, we were pretty covered in paint by the end of our adventure. It was fun. :-) Oh and Anna got me this really cool mug with our picture on it and some pictures from when I went to the Lake with her! Hehe, I love them, scary as they are. ;-) Quotes: Anna: "We should go to laughing school." (or learn how to laugh/how to stop laughing so weird) Mary: We're such nerds. Me: No, we can't be nerds; we're not smart enough. Mary: Okay, then we're dorks. Me: I can live with that. At the painting party... Ruth: Is there a job I can do? Zachary: Well, you could clean out Allen's room...but that would take the strength of 100 men. Maria: Mom, come help me. Mom: I'm going to help you? Maria: Yes, you said you would! Mom: I did?? Maria: Yes. Mom: Oh...I'm so nice! Verse of the post: "And the lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory forever and ever amen." --2 Timothy 4:18 ~Thanks to Hannah for this! Song of the post: "The Scientist" --Coldplay ~I looove this song! Charity | 7:48 am Comments-[ comments.] |
