I am at the Library right now. Maria and I biked down here. We leave for the bike trip to Calvin tomorrow, so my dad said we should only bike a short distance. It's only like five miles here and back to our house.
 
*Sigh* Sorry I haven't been able to update lately. Not that you all are like dying from lack of posts from me! ;)
 
I am pretty nervous about biking sooo far. I mean, I have been planning on doing this since last year, but then all of the sudden it was almost too late to train and now we're leaving TOMORROW!!!!! Wow, I am freaking myself out here. I'm not even packed all the way! Man, you should have seen my room this morning before I cleaned it up. You could barely see the floor cuz of all the clothes piled everywhere. I am packing a TON! And the sad thing is, I'll prolly still forget stuff. I need to make a list...hmm...good idea.
 
I'm sorry. I'm prolly boring you all to tears here. I am in such a...weird...mood. I have nothing exciting to update about.
 
Oh wait!!! I never wrote about the triathalon! It was so much fun! Several people kept asking me what I was doing or if I was part of Anna, Beth, and Grace's team. I was like, "Umm...no I'm here to cheer for them." When it was over and we were walking back to the car, this guy was asking everyone what they did. He asked me and I told them I just came to cheer everyone on and he said, "Oh, well that's just as important as anything!" Hmm...I wonder if he was making fun of me. Hehe, oh well. I don't care. I had a ton of fun anyway!

After the tri-athalon, I got to see the *famous* Pulliam house! Then Beth, Grace, Anna, and I all went swimming for a few hours. It was so funny and so much fun! :)
 
Well, this is a pretty pointless post, I know. But hey, at least I updated! ;) Since I am leaving tomorrow, you obviously should not expect a post for almost two weeks! For you losers who aren't going to Calvin...JK JK JK!!! I know you're not losers. But I still wish everyone could come! Well, I'm sure I will have plenty to tell all when I return! :D

Sorry I haven't updated in forever!!! We had a little trama with our computer.

Sunday night I got home from church wanting to check my mail, eat something, then go to bed early. So, I went downstairs and when I walked into the basement, I screamed, "Oh my word!!!" There was a HUGE waterfall coming down from our CEILING all over our floor, computers, shelves, EVERYTHING!!!!

What had happened was Benjamin was trying to soak a shirt in our laundry room sink and had left the water on. The poor kid felt so bad and started crying cuz he thought it was all his fault and the computers were ruined!

Thankfully,(praise the Lord!) We got it all cleaned up after several hours and the computer is A-OK! :) So THAT'S why I couldn't update.

Corn detasseling is horrible!!! But the only fun thing is singing with Grace, Cathy, Mary, and Maria. All the people there are like screaming for us to shut up, but we just sing louder. I know it sounds mean, but if you worked there, you would understand...I think. ;) We made up a bunch of songs. Mary posted most of them.

Last night we practiced at the church for a skit that we're doing for the Tweed's 50th wedding anniversary. It is going to be sooo funny! You guys should all come to our church on Saturday night and see it!

Yesterday Mary, Maria, Mrs. Ray, Native(aka Joe), and Jonny Sturm all biked 20 or 22 miles. There were tons of hills and it was pretty hard! Then Maria and I took another long bike ride today. I am sooo tired! But actually, it made me hyper! :D

I'm hooooooooommmmmmmmeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!
I went to corn detasseling for the first time today. It actually wasn't bad at all cuz I got to talk to my friends and it wasn't very hot. But I got a headache and was very sick all afternoon. So that was no fun. But I am feeling much better now, thankfully! I went to the Rays after we were done working, but I didn't stay cuz I did not feel well at all! Ugh, the kids there are soo perverted and they cuss all the time and that makes it NOT fun at all! But you know, hopefully we can be a wittness to them.

On the way back to the barn place where we get picked up, I had to sit in the back. There was a seat by this one guy and I was like, "Can I sit here?" He sort of muttered, "Sure I don't care." I was thinking, 'Well I didn't exactly choose to sit by you, either!' Then Ellen sat by me and we were soo squished up against this guy and yeah. It wasn't a very fun ride. But you know, I shouldn't be complaining cuz I am getting good money from this. :)

Jen is having an ECHO get-together this Saturday and I cannot wait! But it means I have to miss our youth group camping trip, so that's dissapointing.

Last night we went to Wet 'N Wild, which is a water park here. It was pretty fun. Afterwards we got the biggest ice cream cone I have ever seen in my life! lol!

On Saturday, we went to see Garfield the Movie. It was soo stupid!! Never go see it!!! It was a total waste of money!

Yesterday we went to this park to watch fireworks. Laura and I had to babysit these two adorable little kids. At one point they were playing in the sand while we sat on a little stone wall. There were fire ants all over it. So, I bravely armed myself with a flipflop and began to destroy the evil little creatures. Becca would have been proud! :)

Then when we were walking back to the car, I saw a bunch of palameadow!!(sp??) I was like, "Ohh! This reminds me of ECHO!" *sniff*

We just finished watching Peter Pan. It was pretty good, I liked it. I don't know what else we're going to do today. We didn't get home till 10:45 their time which is a quarter till one my time! So we slept in till like 8:30 or nine here. I still need to get dressed and take a shower! lol and it's almost noon here! Hope you all are having a wonderful day!!! :)

Today we went to a pottery place where you paint little objects and then they put them in a kettle fire and make them preeety and shiney! :) Then we went to "Nathan's Pool". Which is actually Paradise pool. See, my cousin, Nathan, works there as a life gaurd. (scary thought! lol jk) After we swam we had a cookout and then laid on the nice grass and slept. Another nice thing about Vegas: NO(or very little) bugs!!! But I still love Indy waaaayyyy more! :D The time here is two hours earlier than Indy time so I am sooo tired at night and soo awake in the morning. Like, I woke up at seven their time, which is nine our time, and was wide awake. Everyone else in the house was sleeping! So I laid in bed a while, read my Bible, and finally got up to take a shower. Laura says she is sleeping IN tomorrow! I am just fine and dandy with that. I am sure I can find something to do for a couple hours. I DO miss my bed though...*sniff* and my house. And my room. And my family...and ok ok I guess I miss you guys, too. Hehe jk. Of COURSE I miss all my wonderful friends! :) Welp, until later then! hehehe. I am in a weird mood. Prolly from lack of regular sleep!

Guess what we got to do after the mall?? We got to see SPIDERMAN 2!!!!!! It was sooo good! It was really funny, scary, and just really, really good! I am soo happy that we got to go see it! Did everyone who saw it last night like it? Also, I am officially broke! It's sad what the mall does to your wallet. There was this shirt I got that I couldn't decide if I should keep. So Laura said, "OK, we'll flip a coin. Heads you take it back; tails you keep it." So she fliped a quarter and it landed on tails. I still wasn't sure I should keep it so she said we'd do best two out of three. The next one was tails, too!!! I was STILL unsure, so she flipped it a third time! And guess what, it was still tails. After that I decided I better just keep it. :) And you know, the heat is not so bad since there is no humidity! Whohoo!!!! :D I'm tellin' ya, if they had humidity, I would die!!!

I'm not in Vegas yet, but I will be in a few hours. I leave for the airport in like an hour. Yay! I get to open Anna's letter! lol. :) I want to take a nice, long nap on the plane. I hope I get a window seat. The only other time I've been on a plane was two years ago. I was going to Vegas that time, too! Fun stuff.

Ellen and I babysat for women's prayer today. It was....interesting. I can't wait to get back so I can do corn detasselling! I need the money for the bike trip. Ohhh and I need to train for that, too. Manno, there's all these things I need to do. And I'm taking a vacation in Las Vegas. I'm such a slacker. :)
